We’re pleased to introduce Melissa Jones, the newest member of our Head Office Business Systems team.
Melissa has joined us as a Graduate Business Administrator. She will be supporting James, Michael and Tom, three of our Bridgewater Professionals Consultants, while also working closely with our Marketing department to create content for our popular blog and social media channels.
We caught up with Melissa 6 weeks into her training to see how she’s settling in:
How are you feeling about the role and Bridgewater so far?
I love it. My role is really varied and I’m kept very busy which is great. Everyone says it, but the days really do fly by! I enjoy the fact that I get to work in a number of different aspects of the business; working alongside the other Business Coordinators, working closely with the Consultants I support and also getting involved with the marketing side of things. It’s very hard to get bored working here!
What’s been your favourite part of the job?
Probably writing career advice articles for the Bridgewater blog. I really enjoy the creativity of it and this is something that I haven’t done much of in my previous jobs. I’m definitely developing some new skills here.
How have you found the Bridgewater Training Academy?
Very good. The training is very intensive, especially during the first few weeks. Everything is explained really well and I like the fact that you have weekly catch-up meetings with the Talent Development Manager. It makes you feel that your development is always important. You know that the help and support is there if you need it and you can always count on the Bridgewater Handbook (which I call my Bible) to find out anything you are unsure of.
