Bridgewater Welcomes Darcey to the Team

Bridgewater Resources are pleased to introduce Darcey Hufton-Long, who recently joined us as a Graduate Recruitment Trainee. She is the newest member of the Bridgewater Graduates Division and has already started to take ownership of our Graduate roles in Scotland and the East Midlands.

Darcey is currently working through our intensive Bridgewater Training Academy programme. We caught up with her 6 weeks into her training to see how everything is going.

How are you finding the role and working at Bridgewater so far?

I’m really enjoying it! I love how Bridgewater does recruitment, and particularly the fact that we meet candidates face-to-face, it’s quite different to how other consultancies work. The team are really welcoming, which is great. It’s been really easy to get to know everyone and we all get on so well. It’s an exciting company to be part of as we’re growing and developing quickly.

What’s been your favourite part of the role so far?

Meeting enthusiastic and high calibre candidates. My best day on the job so far was in Nottingham where I got to meet some really good candidates and built great rapport with them. I like how, at Bridgewater, we really get to know our candidates’ personalities and ambitions, so you genuinely want to see them succeed.

What are you looking forward to?

Getting right to the end of the process and placing my first candidate in a role. I’ve heard a lot of stories about how our candidates have progressed in their new careers. I’m looking forward to following up with the candidates I place and seeing how they are moving forward in their new careers.

How have you found the training?

It’s been very thorough and there is a lot to take in, but everything was clear and explained really well so that I feel confident in what I need to do. The training gives you the best of both worlds, support and autonomy; although the training is very in-depth, I feel like I have been given control over my own learning. Also, I know that help is there if I need it.
