One of the UK’s leading independent electrical wholesalers is seeking an experienced and driven Business Manager to join their well-established yet rapidly expanding operation in the West Midlands. Renowned for their exceptional service and strong industry reputation, this company has continued to go from strength to strength, achieving impressive growth and success in recent years.

Role Responsibilities

As a Business Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the full day-to-day operations of the business, taking ownership of P&L performance, and leading a high-performing team across sales, marketing, logistics, and purchasing
  • Inspire, mentor, and develop your team to achieve their full potential, fostering a positive and results-driven workplace culture
  • Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing customers and suppliers
  • Ensure targets and objectives are consistently met or exceeded, contributing to the ongoing success and expansion of the branch
  • Play a key role in shaping and executing the company’s strategic vision, including the possibility of moving this growing business in to a new and bigger premises

Requirements

You should be a self-motivated and results-driven individual who is:

  • Experienced within the electrical wholesale industry, with a proven background in managing and developing successful teams
  • Commercially aware and knowledgeable about the local market, with strong relationships or insight into regional opportunities
  • An excellent communicator and negotiator, confident in identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities
  • Motivated and proactive, with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and colleaguess
  • A natural leader with the ability to inspire others and drive performance across all areas of the business
