Account Manager – Lighting Distributor

A leading independent lighting distributor is looking for a confident Account Manager to join their team in Pudsey (LS13). You’ll be at the forefront of building and maintaining strong relationships with electrical wholesale industry customers over the phone.

The business you’ll be joining are one of the leading suppliers of LED lamps, LED fittings, lighting spares, and emergency lighting products into the electrical wholesale market. Having been established for over 16 years, they have built a strong reputation by providing exceptional and personal service and by giving expert advice across their range of over 12,000 products, all sourced from leading global manufacturers.

Role Responsibilities

As an Account Manager, you will become a key member of the small Internal Sales team and your responsibilities will include:

• Building strong business relationships with new and existing customers over the phone
• Advising customers on the best solutions to fit their needs
• Re-engaging with customers that have not spent with the company in some time
• Identifying new areas for sales growth with current customers
• Answering email enquiries and providing quotations
• Working with key suppliers to expand industry knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this Account Manager role, you should have:

• Previous telesales / account management experience in a B2B capacity
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• The ability to manage your own workload to achieve deadlines and work within a fast-paced environment
• Previous knowledge of the lighting and electrical wholesale industry is advantageous, however full training will be provided
• An outgoing and friendly personality
