Graduate Sales & Trainee Business Manager

A national electrical business is looking for a confident and driven Graduate Sales and Business Manager to join their successful operation in Wimbledon. This is a varied role where you will be building strong relationships with key B2B customers across London while developing the skills and knowledge to quickly progress to a management position.

The Opportunity

The company you’ll be working for prides itself on being amongst the UK’s leading suppliers of electrical test equipment and associated services. They provide a comprehensive range of quality branded products, in addition to calibration/ repair services and key equipment training courses. They are also part of an impressive £900 million turnover group who already employ over 2,000 people across the UK.

Working both remotely and on-site, your role responsibilities as a Graduate Sales and Trainee Business Manager would include:

  • Receiving a well-rounded training experience as well as completing an accredited sales qualification
  • Being mentored by the business’ General Manager and working closely with the Chief Operating Officer of the division
  • Building strong relationships and developing existing business with key customers across London
  • Prospecting new business opportunities
  • Opportunity to progress within 6-12 months to a Business Manager position where you will look after the day-to-day operations of the Wimbledon site and manage a small team

The business also has future plans to open another satellite branch on the other side of London so there’s opportunity in this role to be involved in this process and the management of the new branch.


As a Graduate Sales and Trainee Business Manager, you will receive:

  • A starting salary between £27,000 – £35,000

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • An undergraduate degree with an interest in business management and sales
  • Commercial awareness (some experience in a target-driven or people-focused environment would be beneficial)
  • Strong self motivation and the ability to work toward targets
  • The confidence and ambition to step up and manage a small team within 6-12 months
