One of the UK’s largest plumbing and heating merchants is looking for a proactive Assistant Manager to join their successful and growing team in Stockport. This is an exciting and varied role where you will be overseeing the day-to-day running of the branch.
Role Responsibilities
The business’ Stockport branch continues to go from strength to strength since opening a couple of years ago. The business’ region, and as a whole, had record sales last year and they are looking to continue to build on this success.
As an Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Providing support to the Branch Manager with running all of the business internal functions
Being involved in buying, internal sales and trade counter sales, as well as ensuring the branch and staff members are operating effectively at all times
Driving sales growth and company performance
Spotting and capitalising on new business opportunities
Helping to secure the business’ reputation as a supplier of choice

As an Assistant Manager, you will receive:
Starting salary between £28,000 – £35,000 (depending on experience)

Requirements
You should be a self-starter who is:
Experienced working within the plumbing and heating industry
Knowledgeable with regard to the local area
An excellent negotiator who is able to spot and capitalise on opportunities
Motivated with a proven track record in working closely with and building long-term relationships with both suppliers and customers
